Pork Bun - the best I have had. lot's of quality meat (no gooey red fillers); bread was right on. enough to satisfy as a light meal.
Egg Custard - better than average score but not perfect; crust is flaky but a bit too thick. It is good enough that I would buy it again if I was in the area.
Wife/Sweetheart Cookie - just OK, thicker than average size
Paperwrap Cake - very good, light and fluffy personal sized chiffon cake
Milktea, hot - really good; pairs well with pastries or stand alone comfort drink -

Stopped by for some tasty baked buns while going for a long walk. The roast pork bun and pineapple taro bun were quite good! The bread was warm and fresh. Worth stopping by for a quick bite when you're in the area!

This is a little neighborhood joint that that's really good food and is no frills. their buns are all delicious I'm hooked on the pork buns myself. They also have a pretty extensive lunch menu that is big portions and low priced and quite delicious. The people there are very friendly.

Stumbled on this place on our way to Lands End and Chinese buns seemed like a good pick me up after a buck of hiking (had we had more time- I would have tried their wonton soup). So This is just a review of the bakery.
Initially I was a bit disappointed as the variety seemed to be little. But then the nice lady begins the cashier made us aware of the other buns that were in an oven to keep them warm. We bought the mini pineapple taro, mini pineapple custard, red bean, pineapple and beef curry bun. So far they have all been really yummy! SO FRESH! Tasted like they were just baked- love that yeast taste with a bit of sweetness. (Haven't tried the beef curry one yet). I'd definitely go back next time I'm in the area. Prices are also good. Less than 1dollar for the smaller ones and about 1.30 for the other ones (varying prices for each bit in that ballpark). Happy we stopped -

We were introduced to this place by a friend who grew up in the area. He brought over some pork buns one day and we were hooked!
Truth be told, we haven't bought or eaten anything else here but the pork buns. But they are extremely good. Normally I don't like baked pork buns; preferring steamed pork buns instead. But this is the exception. The dough for these pork buns reminds me of a Kings Hawaiian sweet bread roll. And the filing is sweet but not too sweet.
